First-Rate Course Offering

Bridge English Language Learning Academy's primary objective, is to offer first rate English language courses to learners aged 19+. Our courses make use of study and practice material for all examination boards including City & Guilds and Pearson - Edexcel and lead to qualifications from reputable UK examination boards.  These qualifications are recognised by most employers. Therefore, students will be availed with the opportunity to follow a first rate curriculum resulting in well sort after qualifications.

Our Mission

At Bridge English Language Learning Academy, we aim to :

  • bridge the gap between people with little or no English and seasoned English speakers, through quality English language tuition; 
  • promote positive integration into the local community; 
  • encourage learners with no English Language qualifications to develop key English Language skills needed to succeed in life, at work, and training, so that they can deal with demands of everyday life at work, in their communities and in society, generally;
  • encourage students to improve on their Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills, both in theory and practice;
  • provide an environment that promotes Equality, Diversity and Inclusion through an Equal Opportunities policy which accepts students regardless of their religion, gender, race, beliefs, culture and traditions.

Course Catalog

Functional Skills English; Entry 1, 2 & 3, Levels 1 & 2

Exam Preparation plus Exam Qualification

Duration: 3 Months

Tuition: £700

Start Date: you can start at any time that suits you, during the year.


What it entails:

- Cover key English language skills needed to succeed in life, at work and in training/learning

- Deal with demands of everyday life at work, in communities and the society at large

- Develop Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills theoretically and practically

- Encourage students in developing the capabilities of applying Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills both at home and at work


Qualification types:

- Learners have the choice to earn qualifications at 5 levels, beginning from Entry 1 to Level 2. 

- Each Functional Skills English award is a qualification on its own.


Individual Awards Include:

- Reading

- Writing

- Speaking, Listening & Communication


An overarching Functional Skills English Certificate is earned when individual certificates have been awarded at the same level. 


*** All three components: Reading, Writing and Speaking, and Listening are compulsory. However, they are each assessed separately and can therefore be completed at different times and different levels. 


 ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages)  ; Entry 1, 2, & 3, Levels 1 & 2

What it entails:

- Developing all language skills

- Learn functional tasks like reading and writing real correspondences

- Learn work related tasks to help workers and job seekers

- Learn academic tasks to aid interested learners to progress to GCSE Functional skills or other academic ventures


Qualification types:

Learners have the choice of earning qualifications at 5 levels, beginning from Entry 1 to Level 2. 

Each Skills for Life award, is a qualification on its own.


Individual Awards Include:

- Reading

- Writing

- Speaking & Listening


An overarching ESOL Certificate is earned when individual certificates have been awarded at the same level.
